Les îles Blasket (en français îles Blasques), sont un archipel au large de la péninsule de Dingle sur la côte ouest de l'Irlande, dans le Comté de Kerry.
Elles furent habitées par une population de langue gaélique jusqu'au 17 novembre 1953 date à laquelle le gouvernement irlandais ordonna l'évacuation de l'île principale pour soustraire ses 22 derniers habitants dont on jugeait la vie trop pénible et trop exposée aux problèmes de santé.
The Blasket Islands are an archipelago off the Dingle Peninsula on the west coast of Ireland, County Kerry.
They were inhabited by a Gaelic-speaking population until November 17, 1953 when the Irish government ordered the evacuation of the main island to escape its past inhabitants, of which 22 were deemed life too painful and too prone to health problems .
