Udaipur (उदयपुर) est une ville d'Inde située dans l'État du Rajasthan, entourée par les lacs Pichola, Fateh Sagar et Swaroop Sagar.
La ménagerie du râja d'Udaipur est le lieu de naissance de la panthère Bagheera dans le Livre de la jungle de Rudyard Kipling, sous l’orthographe d'Oodeypore. La ville a servi de décor au Tigre du Bengale de Fritz Lang et à Octopussy de la série des James Bond.
Le lac Pichola est un lac d'eau douce artificielle. Il a été créé en 1362 à proximité du village Picholi 1 qui lui a donné son nom. C'est un des lacs construit autour d'Udaipur par la construction de barrages pour irriguer les cultures environnantes et disposer d'eau potable. Deux îles, Jag Niwas et Jag Mandir situés sur le lac portent plusieurs palais 2 transformés maintenant en hôtels de luxe.

Pichola Lake is an artificial fresh water lake. It was established in 1362 near the Picholi one village that gave it its name. It is built around one of the lakes of Udaipur by the construction of dams to irrigate the surrounding cultures and have drinking water. Two islands, Jag Niwas and Jag Mandir located on the lake are several palaces now converted two luxury hotels.
